Bunny Jackson’s
Bunny Jackson’s touts itself as a dive bar and, while there is indeed ‘cold beer, frozen margaritas and a lot of whisky’, you can still line your stomachs as burgers, bar snacks and BJ’s wings are served every day from noon until nine.
Cheap as chicken wings, that’s Bunny Jackson’s, where your classic unsauced number is just 20p a pop with prices – and temperature – rising up to the 50p Hotter Than The Sun, so sizzling that you’re invited to face Bunny Jackson’s Hot Wings Challenge and win yourself a T-shirt to prove it. Claiming to be the best chicken wings in town, the meat is red tractor approved and sourced responsibly from reputable farms with full traceability, so be our guest. There are also fries, dippers and poppers, grilled cheese sandwiches and burgers such as the Mother Clucker, while words on the menu include messy, crazy, dirty and boozy.
Talking of which, Bunny’s Back Bar boasts over 100 American whiskeys and there is a range of tap, bottled and canned beer, including Goose Island IPA from Chicago, San Fran’s Anchor Steam amber beer and Brooklyn Lager. Cocktails, slushies and party drinks are big; wine, less so. There’s happy hour ‘every damn day’ and you can get an Old Fashioned for a fiver on Fridays 5-7pm. Add to that sports screens, games tables and live music, and you’ll see how Bunny Jackson’s lets the good times roll.
