Impossible

First and foremost a bar and nightclub, Impossible’s Instagram account is filled with a bevvy of posing beauties enjoying cocktails and wine in the velvet-clad club and out on the sun-trap of a terrace that overlooks Deansgate’s Great Northern Warehouse.

Despite the late-night theme, Impossible does in fact open at midday most days to serve brunch and lunch presumably to the droves of partied-out revellers from the night before. Bottomless brunch is available Tuesday to Friday serving up all the usual suspects. From Smashed avocado to a chicken and bacon waffle stack, with plenty of bottomless booze to wash it all down.

Small plates are the name of the game for the rest of the day, with a snacky menu of crowd-pleasers to choose from. Think king prawns marinated in chilli and garlic, popcorn chicken with sweet chilli sauce and meatballs smothered in melted cheese. But if mix ’n’ match tapas isn’t your style, larger plates could include roast chicken wrapped in bacon, duck leg with dauphinoise potatoes or a trio of pies served with chips or mash. Or try a steak or burger from the grill.

On Sundays, the roast menu consists of beef, pork or vegan mushroom wellington. All served with veggies, roasties, and Yorkies. Desserts sadly aren’t on the cards here, but finishing off with a signature cocktail like the “NSFW” Hardcore Pornstar Martini or an altogether more elegant Midsummer Nights Dream with rosé, hibiscus and raspberry and vanilla gin should satisfy your sweet tooth just as well.
