Junior Jackson’s
Junior Jackson’s – known as just ‘Junior’s’ by the cool kids and regulars – is the little cousin of Bunny Jackson’s, the American-style sports tavern near First Street.
Nestled away underneath the Northern Quarter’s infamous Oldham Street, this is a tiny bar with an oversized personality.
Open from 3pm-3am every single day, Junior’s is fully committed to the cause. Go between 3pm-8pm and it’s buy one, get one free on everything on the menu. Careful now.
There’s also hotdogs for £2-3, depending on toppings. Usually they include a weird and wonderful special like the chocolate digestive hotdog. Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it. (And don’t try it until you’re really drunk.)
It’s also the home of the original Manchester disco toilet (no, Albert’s Schloss wasn’t the first) complete with mirrored glass walls, funky lights and a disco ball. There’s also normal toilets if that’s a little too overwhelming after one too many blue bunnies.
Open: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun
