Gran T’s Coffee House Altrincham
Gran T’s Coffee House Altrincham is a brightly-coloured all-day hangout on a pretty street. It’s inspired by the owner’s grandma but the food is more Gen Z french toast than homely cottage pie.
The bike attached to the frontage may suggest a caffeine pit-stop for the lycra-clad but aside from the obligatory açai bowl, it’s about indulgence rather than anything else. Have you seen the size of those hot chocolates?
Inside the decor is cosy rather than ultra-cool and all the more comfortable for it. There’s also an outdoor seating area which gets pretty busy when the sun shines so be prepared to jostle cappuccinos for an alfresco spot.
The menu is focussed on comfort food like glorious brunches, doughnuts and indulgent treats. It’s definitely a feel-good sort of place.
