Scoop! serves the best ice cream in Ancoats and then some. There’s a good selection of gelato with plenty of vegan options too but the most fun part is going crazy with the toppings and sauces which are included in the price.
Confidential Guides favourite flavours include pistachio, banana and cherry ripple. Build your own towering cornet of super scoops topped with everything from crushed Oreo and dairy milk pieces to dried mango and mini marshmallows, all topped off with a drizzle of sauce.
It’s not just cones and tubs. The ice cream brownie sandwiches are pretty epic too with the Kinder Bueno a big hit. It’s impossible to eat without turning into a real chocolate monster though. Especially if you’re a child.
Other popular desserts at this Oldham Road ice cream parlour include milkshakes, doffles (a doughnut-waffle hybrid) and a spectacular strawberries and cream sundae.
