The Pumpkin Patch at Dunham Massey Farm Ice Cream
The area around Dunham Massey is littered with pumpkin-picking places. The Pumpkin Patch at Dunham Massey Farm Ice Cream has the edge though – pumpkins and top-notch ice cream.
It’s free and there’s no need to book. You only have to pay for the pumpkins you pick. It’s busy though. Be prepared to queue for everything, especially at weekends: wheelbarrow, drinks, food, ice creams.
As well as rows of pumpkins from mini to massive in various shades of traditional orange and ghostly white, you can also pick your own sweetcorn if you fancy it.
There’s a Halloween scavenger hunt to complete while you pick your pumpkins, hay bales to clamber on, autumnal selfie spots, and some low-key spooky decorations so as not to frighten the tots.
There are hot drinks on sale, decent pizzas and excellent ice cream with seasonal flavours like pumpkin spice, apple pie and blackcurrant and liquorice.
