Damò
Damò is an Italian restaurant with a reputation for fresh pasta. Local food lovers revere its lasagne – it could be one of the best in the North West, never mind Altrincham.
The restaurant focuses on regional specialities from the Marche region, nestled between the Appenine mountains and the Adriatic. Its menu celebrates the produce of land and sea with dishes like vitello tonnato and handmade tagliolini with white seafood ragù.
It’s a family place, ran by three brothers, and that warmth comes through. Although the millefoglie with caramelised pastry, chantilly and fruit is a work of art, Damò isn’t about cold professionalism. It’s about enjoyment and indulgence.
Don’t come expecting garlic dough balls and pasta in tomato sauce. Damò has more to offer than your usual Italian. It’s a special place and Altrincham is lucky to have it.
