King Street Tavern
Part of the King Street Townhouse hotel, with its luxe bedrooms and rooftop terrace with Manchester skyline views, the Tavern is an all-day dining destination. Serving an elevated flair on British classics, this central city restaurant and bar encourages sitting, sipping and socialising at a leisurely pace.
Be cocooned by the booths, bookcases, warm woods, cosy colours and fabrics while enjoying contemporary comfort food, like gastro-pub burgers with duck fat hand-cut chips or mint-infused lamb with apricot purée.
With all ingredients locally sourced and seasonal, the team at the Tavern restaurant are passionate about every plate they produce across breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.
The Mezzanine Lounge, tucked away from the main hum of the hotel, is perfect for private dining or experiencing one of Manchester’s best afternoon teas (with an optional champagne upgrade) which always reflects the time of the year. There are two-afternoon teas at King Street Townhouse; a ‘Traditional’ three-tier version with a layer of sandwiches and wraps, a sweet tier full of too-pretty-to-eat cakes and pastries and, of course, scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream. The second is an alternative ‘High’ afternoon tea to satisfy those with a savoury tooth who’d prefer mini sliders, homemade sausage rolls and cheese with chutney.
