Quality wines, stunning small plates made from local, seasonal produce and an atmosphere that’s hard to replicate in city centre venues. No wonder Norman’s Neighbourhood Kitchen has just been awarded a Bib Gourmand in the 2026 round-up.

Go for high-end small plates made with care and attention, each one showcasing ingredients in their prime. Confidential Guides loves the slow-roasted pork belly in an apple glaze with a puddle of smoked eel butter sauce – it’s worth an award all on its own.

The rich. salt-aged ribeye with bone marrow sour cream and pecan salsa macha is another standout dish that demonstrates serious skill in the kitchen.

Overall, the menu tends towards the meaty but that’s just Norman’s playing to its strengths. You can even order pork scratching fudge for pud.
