Piccolino Hale
There’s no shortage of reliably good restaurants in the Hale-Altrincham-Bowden triangle, and Piccolino Hale is up there with the best of them.
Situated on Ashley Road in Hale Village, it’s fronted by a spacious, all-weather terrace, while inside you’ll find a cocktail bar, a light-filled restaurant, and a private dining room for events and parties.
With marble tables and duck-egg blue leather seating, its got a classic, chic vibe that wouldn’t look out of place in a square in Salerno. Likewise the food feels authentically Italian thanks to a menu that balances contemporary trends with traditional dishes.
Go for the risotto made with arborio rice, wild king prawns, lemon, samphire and flat leaf parsley. Or try the roast chicken breast with truffle gnocchi, mushroom and truffle cream. If you’re looking for something more casual, the pizzas come recommended.
The provenance of ingredients is important to Piccolino; the cheeses, cooked meats, flour, oil, and so on are hand-sourced from artisans producers in Italy. For fresh ingredients they opt for premium suppliers from the British Isles.
