Remal Restaurant
Remal Restaurant is a family-run place with the warmth and the buzz of real Lebanese hospitality and very happy customers. Food is exquisitely presented and made fresh in the restaurant – from the bread to the butchery, it’s all done by the team at Remal.
Starters are a selection of mezze-style small plates which are perfect for sharing – olives, cheese pastries, babaghanouj, lamb and hummus are all present and correct and in fact, very good examples. The Lebanese bread deserves a special mention.
Main courses are mainly various kebabs, spicy marinated charcoal grilled meats and a plethora of lamb dishes such as muklubieh – rice cooked with aubergine and Arabian spices topped with tender lamb, layered with more aubergine and garnished with nuts and parsley.
Vegetarians are well-catered for with almost all the cold mezze vegetarian and a decent selection elsewhere on the menu.
And if all this sounds good, it’s also BYO with no corkage. A trip to the offy is in order.
