BAB NQ

Restaurant - Middle Eastern

If you feel it’s time to spice up your life, look no further than this Northern Quarter indie, where the main offer is ‘kebabs worth sitting down for’. Yep, BAB NQ by name, ‘babs by nature, but that’s not doing the menu full justice – there are also meze small plates to mix and match, skewers and shawarmas, and non-babs such as an epic surf & turf spread. The bab sharer (including veggie version) has to be seen to be believed; a disassembled kebab with anything and everything you might want in it.

And the kebabs themselves are a bit different, with the likes of Greek pulled pork with roasted tomatoes and tzatziki bringing a taste of summer holidays to the late-night classic. Those flatbreads are made from scratch right in front of you in the open kitchen, where the dishes are crafted and grilled to order using the best locally sourced ingredients and vibrant homemade marinades and sauces, ranging in spiciness.

Add some firepower to your falafel and some tingle to your tofu with BAB’s range of homemade sauces for just a quid. The house chilli is hot and the house chimmichurri is a Confidentials favourite. There’s plenty to quench your thirst if you go spicy with draft and bottled beers plus a carefully curated cocktail list.
