Riva
Riva is a restaurant with a buzz in the heart of Hale Village. Although the food is Modern British, there’s a holiday feel to the place with its vibrant atmosphere, live music on Thursdays and DJs every Saturday night.
It’s an all-day operation offering good times from morning till night. Riva is famed for fizz, cocktails, steak and Sunday roasts but it draws the Cheshire crowds for everything from brunch and lunch to classy late-night dining.
The menu showcases seasonal produce with elegant dishes that demonstrate real finesse. Confidential Guides loves the pan-seared scallops with cauliflower and apple.
You’ll also find heartier dishes that celebrate quality ingredients; the glazed beef short rib and the herb crusted rack of lamb are two particular favourites.
During the day, the menu has a more casual feel but doesn’t let up on quality. Enjoy charcuterie boards, lobster rolls and classic BLTs.
It’s easy to see why Riva is so popular. It has the refined-yet-relaxed vibe spot on and the cocktails are a big draw. Terrace seating at the front makes it unmissable in summer and there is a well-turned out private dining room on the first floor.
