Side Street
Side Street is another one of those all-day creative spaces that segue (relatively) seamlessly between morning coffee and late-night events. Whether you’re tapping on your laptop or tapping your toes at a musical happening. Side Street has the right atmosphere for both.
The gem of the operation is the pop-up in the kitchen. Tartuffe is no hypocritical pretender to greatness though; it’s the real deal. The brief and casual menu makes it seem like little more than the rotisserie counter at your local supermarket but the quality takes chicken to a whole new level. There’s an elegance to the food and a sophistication to the setting that makes it a perfect date night destination.
It’s not just chicken though that is the raison d’être. You can also enjoy flat iron steak, hash browns with caviar or mini chicken kiev. It’s comforting kids food tweaked and made grown-up.
As well as food, you’ll find cocktails, lounging, loafing and more productive ways to spend your time too.
