Zumuku Sushi Worsley
We heart sushi and Manchester-born mini-chain Zumuku Sushi serves up our favourite finger food with authentic flavours and flourishes, and even brings something to the table that our non-sushi-fanboy friends might like too, from bao buns to katsu curry to poke bowls.
Chef patron Benjie Samson (who was head chef at Yo! for ten years) insists that only the freshest ingredients make the grade, so you can be sure to trust the sushi sharing platters, chosen for you by the kitchen according to the Japanese tradition of Omakase.
Individually, we have our eye on the the Worsley Roll, with seared beef, prawn, avocado and a cheeky wasabi mayo. On the hot dish side, gyoza dumplings with dips come in four pieces and three flavours – veggie, duck and chicken – and chicken wings are glazed and oven roasted for the “famous spicy kamikaze” option. If you’re a sucker for sticky teriyaki, you’re in for a treat, with plenty to pick from, including beef in a bun, and you’ll also find a choice of Japanese-style stir-fried noodles: udon or yakisoba.
