Snippers 2
Established in 1985, Snippers 2 hair salon on Victoria Station Approach has withstood two bombs, two deep recessions, and the complete transformation of this part of the city. And it’s still going strong.
It specialises in Afro-Caribbean and bi-racial hair and is the kind of place where your mum and dad went, and now you go, and the next generation probably will too.
Led by owner Hazel Chang, the team of stylists are passionate about keeping your hair healthy, and creating styles that make you feel amazing.
They’re skilled in all areas of black hairdressing, from braids and cornrows to extensions and keratin treatments. They do male and female hair for all ages. It’s very good value, particularly for the city centre.
And if you’re wondering about the origins of that bizarre domed building, it used to be an entrance to the British Rail Staff Association; a now abandoned space beneath Victoria Station.
