Burgerism at Escape to Freight Island
Starting life in a pick-up-only kitchen just off West Ashton St and Eccles New Road in Salford, Burgerism’s “lean, mean burger cuisine” has a cult following that lives for its smash burgers and fried chicken made with fresh, local ingredients.
Nominated for Restaurant of the Year 2022 by UberEats, the team here are passionate about quality, sourcing all of the meat and produce as locally as possible. They also take great care to think about sustainability through every stage of the production process and work hard to run what they call a “conscious kitchen.”
Grade A chuck beef is used in every smash burger served, and turkey bacon replaces pork at this halal-friendly joint. Try a popular Beefed burger featuring all the usual suspects – lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion with a homemade special Burgerism sauce. Or go for fried chicken with spicy oil, “comeback” sauce and freshly made coleslaw. Skin-on fries are accompanied by one of five sauces ranging from garlic ranch to spicy buffalo
Burgerism is a traditional burger joint at Escape to Freight Island that keeps things fresh and simple. Let’s be honest what else would you want from a burger?
