Kerb
Ancoats gem Kerb is a natural wine shop and occasional bar from the founders of Takk Coffee and OL Bar and Brewery.
Its minimalist curved interior is centred around a stone bar where you can enjoy wines by the bottle, and a small selection on tap. Stock changes with the seasons so it’s worth multiple visits to see what’s new – and don’t be afraid to ask for a recommendation. They welcome newbies to the natural wine world as well as the aficionados.
Look out for tasting nights and events such as their Bojo Nouveau Disco night to celebrate the arrival of this year’s Beaujolais Nouveau. You can also buy their wines from their online shop but where’s the fun in that? Kerb is just off Cutting Room Square – pop in and say hello. Wine is a social drink after all.
