Altrincham Market House Indoor Food Hall
Setting a precedent for the likes of Mackie Mayor and Stockport Produce Hall, many have hailed the revamping of the Market House Indoor Food Hall as the touch paper that lit Altrincham’s whole foodie scene ablaze.
The market actually comprises three spaces. The market hall itself houses a clutch of six permanent kitchens, a bar, a coffee house and a chocolatier.
Outside there is a market square with some smaller permanent artisan food traders, and a large covered market area with around 60 more transient crafters, makers, fresh food mongers, florists and more.
Some of our top tips are Honest Crust, who have been raking in awards for their excellent sourdough pizza; drool-worthy Scotch pies from police officer turned Michelin-trained chef Neil Broomfield’s Great North Pie company, and juicy meat-based delights from Tender Cow.
