The Art of Tea
Independent coffee shop and bar adjacent to a lovingly curated, second-hand book shop. The Art of Tea offers more than just good quality loose leaf tea. It’s easy to lose a few hours here between the pages of a penguin classic or hooked up to their free wifi. The menu is simple, offering a breakfast menu that’s heavy on the bennies (from comforting classic to chorizo and chimichurri), pies, soups and salads for lunch and mezze and pizza for dinner. They also do decent coffee and have a well-stocked bar.
An eclectic events schedule includes an international poetry night, regular stand up comedy, and art exhibitions featuring local artists. Families are welcome, with kids portions available and even (at time of writing) a regular Tuesday morning string concert offering free entry to the little ones. I mean, whose toddler doesn’t love a bit of Bartók?
