The Creameries
Updated: 14 May 2026
The Creameries is open once again, this time as a bar, cafe and general all-day destination from Pomona Island. With its vintage milk advert in the entrance, this is one of Chorlton’s most characterful (and character-filled) spots and it’s lovely to see its sunny terrace and matching yellow paintwork buzzing again.
Unlike Manchester city centre’s North Westward Ho which is also from the Pomona Island team, The Creameries has a very suburban feel with coffee and shio koji-seasoned bacon butties in the morning, quality cakes and pastries from Half Dozen Other during the day, and a brilliant range of beer and wine in the evening.
That said, with sixteen keg lines, the drinks offering is far from suburban. Call in for a glass of everything from helles lager to chocolate and banana stout to pineapple, mango and passion fruit smoothie sour. There are some very special specials here including collaborations and limited edition kegs, some of which you won’t find anywhere else in the country.
Open: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun
