The Oast HouseGlobal
From the same stable as The Botanists around town, The Oast House boasts those “famous” Hanging Kebabs and, with its copious outside space in the middle of Spinningfields, is a favourite as a bit of a city centre sunny spot.
Those trademarked skewers dangle off a special stand with dipping sauce on top and a bowl of “properly seasoned” chips below to catch the sticky drips from the glazed crispy halloumi or marinated meats – think garlicky chicken and spicy harissa-coated lamb kofta.
From the courtyard, you can enjoy the oast house architecture, uprooted from the Kent countryside and plonked in Manchester. The hop-drying building is traditionally used in the production of beer, which is a handy reminder that the drinks menu is crammed, including with some real ales and plenty of bottles. Perfect for drinking in the sun…
