Toast Withington
BritishThere’s no shortage of cafes along this stretch of Wilmslow Road, but by all accounts, family-run Toast of Withington is one of the favourites.
Its carb-loving menu centres, unsurprisingly, on bready stuff: croissants, toasted sandwiches, breakfast barms, bagel melts, ciabatta melts. They also do all-day brekkies, brunch, and gourmet burgers. It’s simple food without flourishes but the quality and care is there so you can expect a positive experience.
Head in for a classic fry-up (or their vegan version) with a freshly-squeezed orange juice and Worker Bee coffee. There’s also brownie bakes and smoothies to be snaffled. Toast isn’t a big place and it gets busy but the service and standards stay high.
