Beg, Steal & Borrow
Beg, Steal and Borrow is a sustainable clothing exchange and thrift shop located in Withington, just off the high street on Rippingham Road.
It’s a little different from your average vintage store in that it gives you the option to either buy straight from their curated collection or bring in your old clothes to trade for new. If nothing catches your eye right away, you can exchange them for an in-store gift card which never expires. You can use it at their flagship location at Afflecks Palace too.
The space itself is tidy and well-organised with rails of hand-picked clothes alongside rummage bins full of discounted treasures. Their collection is known for bold, colourful pieces with a focus on Y2K vintage. It’s also a good place to find plus-size clothes. Price-wise, it’s generally cheaper than other vintage shops with most pieces around £10.
The staff are genuinely excited about the clothes they sell and receive – and are more than happy to offer helpful advice if needed.
