Marbu
Depop hit Marbu was an appointment-only studio on Oxford Road until winter 2025 when owner Martha Burns opened this three-storey boutique on Porter Street, NQ.
Since then it’s been namechecked in Vogue and i-D magazine and has become a go-to shop for girls looking for unique nineties and Y2K finds.
When I visited, it was pre-Parklife weekend and busy with shoppers looking for festival-worthy fits. The cool, characterful and slightly boho style encapsulated here – think Kate Moss at Glastonbury crossed with Carrie Bradshaw on a brunch date – is perfect for when you want to make a statement without being overshadowed by your outfit.
Martha has an eye for wearable, enviable pieces with beautiful details, colours and fabrics. Prices are reasonable; a Dolce & Gabbana dress is £140, and a Guess skirt is £60.
Look out for pop-up events with up-and-coming independent designers. Sustainable brands specialising in handmade or upcycled clothing are a particular focus.
