Buckle and Boots
This annual weekender on the edge of Stockport won the ‘Best Festival’ award from the British Country Music Association in 2023, securing its place as one of the most popular events on the UK Country music calendar.
It takes place over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend at Whitebottom Farm in the Etherow Country Park – a location that manages to be gloriously rural and accessibly close to the city at the same time.
It’s one of the few Manchester festivals that offer camping, but you can also get day tickets and taxi it home if you prefer.
There’s two stages that showcase the best of UK country talent alongside stars from the US, Canada and Australia. With stalls, street food, meet and greets, bars, and afterparties, it’s a cowboy-boot-wearing alternative to some of the more mainstream music festivals around.
Buckle and Boots 2025
22-25 May, Whitebottom Farm, Marple
This year’s headliners are Hayley Jensen, Michael Ray, Maggie Baugh and Craig Wayne Boyd, plus many more names from across the country music spectrum.
You’ll not see the stadium-fillers here, but you will see some of the most talented, crowd-rousing acts around. There’s always a great atmosphere at this festival – go along and see why its reputation is growing every year.
