In The Park
In The Park is a huge three-day festival held in Sefton Park on Thursday 11 July, Friday 12 July and Saturday 13 July. 40,000 revellers are expected to attend the open-air music party in Liverpool each day.
Thursday sees Catfish and the Bottlemen play a headline set after releasing their first new music in five years. Friday’s headliner is local hero Jamie Webster who will be joined by Red Rum Club, The Reytons, The Mary Wallopers and Brooke Combe. Saturday is the hugely popular Cream Classical. It’s always a standout but a homecoming event in a location like Sefton Park is really special.
As well as Cream Classical featuring the Kaleidoscope Orchestra curated by K-Klass there’ll be live performances from dance legends Jocelyn Brown, Innercity and Robin S as well as Daft Funk, a fun tribute to the electronic duo. On the decks get ready for the likes of Armand Van Helden, Paul Oakenfold and Roger Sanchez.
There’s a real festival atmosphere – not like a typical urban event – with two stages (one outside, one indoor) and food and drink stalls selling all sorts, from crepes to curry.
