Hallé St Peter’s
Hallé St Peter’s provides a rehearsal and recording space for Manchester’s renowned orchestra as well as being home to the Hallé’s choirs and its youth orchestra.
The Grade II Listed building is an interesting brick-built church in the centre of Ancoats. A three-storey modern extension, The Oglesby Centre, provides additional practice rooms and performance spaces.
Located in the former heart of the city’s cotton industry, St Peter’s fuses ecclesiastical style and industrial mill architecture which makes an atmospheric setting for small-scale performances.
You’ll find a varied selection of events ranging from intimate piano recitals to a series of popular concerts by candlelight.
There is a well-regarded independent café within the venue called Café Cotton. Its sandwiches are something special and bookings are available – and advised.
The inspiring building means that Hallé St Peter’s is a popular choice for private hire. It’s an impressive backdrop for weddings, parties, meetings, receptions, corporate events and conferences.
