Albert’s Schloss Liverpool
Albert’s Schloss Liverpool is a Bavarian bar that mixes tongue-in-cheek fun with a dedication to high quality food and drink.
It’s a cool take on Munich beer hall vibes and the Schloss menu staples even get food critics excited with Jay Rayner a fan of the crispy roasted pork knuckle, or Schweinshaxe.
The massive cook haus breakfasts are pretty epic and the cheese and bacon pretzels are a thing of joy if you just want a snack to go with your stein.
It’s a big place – great for groups of mates – and the kit-out is a lot classier that the apres-ski kitsch-fest that could have ensued. Instead, there’s a hygge cosiness in the details if that’s not mixing up Northern European nations too much. Think twinkling lights, fires and the urge to dive into a fondue.
Oktoberfest is a big deal and there is often live music. With an atmosphere that’s second to none, it’s a great place for Christmas parties.
