Situated next door to thatched pub The White Bear, Cranford Cafe & Sandwich Bar is a long-serving local favourite for takeaway sandwiches and cakes and eat-in cafe fare.
The made-to-order sandwiches are its biggest draw – the deli counter is stocked full of classic and gourmet fillings ranging from minted lamb to Moroccan chicken to barbecue-pulled jackfruit. If it’s all sounding a little bit too chi-chi and pricey, think again. You don’t get builders in high-vis jackets at your cafe if you’re not offering big portions and good value.
We highly recommend this place if you’re heading to nearby Tatton Park for a picnic (the free walk-in entrance to Tatton is just five minutes away). Get your Cranford’s sandwich, cake and coffee to go, and enjoy it amongst the roaming deer.
