Smoak Coffee

Smoak Coffee is a small coffee and bagel shop on Barlow Moor Road. The caffeine options are very good – roasted fresh every week – with a regularly changing single origin coffee and excellent filter coffee too.

The menu is pretty limited (mainly coffee and bagels) but what they do, they do very well. The salt beef is cured, brined and slow cooked in house and the sauces are all home made too. There are plenty of vegan options too which get the same amount of love; the aubergine and the organic tofu are also smoked by Smoak.

It’s a good place if you’re working from home, opening early and with plenty of plug sockets to power up your ailing mac. There’s a nice little terrace and if you grab the alfresco table by the window, there’s even a socket there too.
