The Deansgate
The Deansgate is a bit of a landmark pub in Manchester, having been in this spot for 200 years.
It’s had various landlords recently – and at the moment is looked after by the hospitality chain Greene King. As with all Greene King’s, the menu consists of your typical British pub grub along with a few small plates and global dishes for good measure. All of which is very affordable.
The drinks selection is vast thanks to the well stocked bars on each level, offering old classics like Strongbow and modern favourites like Beavertown’s Neck Oil. Order and pay on the app, or at the bar like they would have done 200 years ago.
The Deansgate is popular with sports fans too, showing the football and more across seven screens.
The real reason to visit this 19th century pub isn’t just its beautiful architecture but its two (yes, two) rooftop beer gardens. From here, you’ll have great views of Manchester’s skyline, as well as the Metrolink stop should you want to keep an eye out for your ride home.
