Alfredo’s Social

Alfredo’s Social is a buzzy bar and restaurant in the parade of independents on Little Underbank in Stockport town centre. It’s a charming location and Alfredo’s Social is the most charming of them all, housed in the historic Grade II listed Winters Buildings.

The menu offers a good balance of red and white pizzas – particular favourites include Salami Salami, and the gorgonzola-laden Blue Velvet with its walnuts, ham and pear. You’ll also find small plates and sharing dishes like Cornish sardines and charcuterie platters.

If you’re thinking this sounds like picky drinking plates, you’d be right. Besides food, Alfredo’s Social also has a neat line in cocktails and an interesting wine selection including orange wine from Romania and a rich, golden Italian Vermentino, both available by the glass.
