Another Hand
There is quite some experience behind owners Julian Pizer and Max Yorke at Another Hand, including time spent at Cottonopolis, The Edinburgh Castle and Hispi. In this intimate restaurant on Deansgate Mews, they put it to excellent use on an ever-changing, seasonal menu that takes advantage of some of the best suppliers in the region. Cinderwood and Platt Fields Market garden, Littlewoods butchers in Stockport and Holy Grain Sourdough Bakery all feature.
Head there for lunch or dinner, with starters such as cured trout with smoked turnip and burnt apple, and mains such as pork chop with anchovies and grilled peaches. Desserts are a delight and could include warm rye chocolate with clementine and spiced gingerbread, or sheep’s milk panna cotta with strawberry, thyme caramel, elderflower and shortbread.
The wine list is a real celebration of of natural and biodynamic bottles, with cocktails expertly crafted by a talented front of house team.
