When a restaurant sells karahi by the kilo, you know it’s not messing about. No wonder that less than a year after opening, Baba Tikka is already building up a following for its authentic desi cooking.
The owner gained years of experience cooking at Zouk and EastZEast in Manchester before opening Baba Tikka. This is proper Pakistani heritage, not a watered-down version for Western palates. Be prepared for big, bold, exciting flavours.
As well as its karahi, Baba Tikka is also known for its Lahori fried fish also sold by the kilo or half kilo. Confidential Guides loves its tawas which are designed to share and piled high with chops, tikka, boti, wings and seekh kebabs, followed by karahi, biryani and enough bread to mop it all up.
It’s all about generosity making Baba Tikka the ideal place for a night out with friends, big family groups or special celebrations.
