Chit ‘N’ Chaat
Chit ‘N’ Chaat is one of Rusholme’s best-loved restaurants for Indian Street food and entrees. This small-yet-cosy eatery is the perfect place for catching up with friends as you share traditional and modern South Asian dishes.
Along with their other site in Cheadle, Chit ‘N’ Chaat serves up colourful plates of authentic Indian favourites like Aloo Tikki and Vada Pav (commonly referred to as the ‘Bombay burger’).
As well as their signature chaats and meat-based items on the menu, they have a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes like Kutchi Debeli; tango potato and pomegranate Massala with spiced chutney stuffed in a bread bun and garnished with onions, chillies and coriander.
Those with a sweet tooth can finish off their meal with a portion of gulab jamun – a type of deep fried dough ball rolled in sugar syrup – chocolate samosas, or Gajar ka halwa; a carrot-based sweet dessert.
Don’t forget to wash it all down with a Massala chai or mango lassi.
