Electrik
Elektrik is an award-winning independent that’s become a mainstay of the Chorlton bar scene since it was born back in 2009. Founders Luke Cowdrey and Justin Crawford (aka DJs The Unabombers) went on to launch Volta in Didsbury and later The Refuge in the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel (formerly The Palace Hotel).
Electrik is more about the drinks and music nowadays than food – unless that is, you go on a Wednesday or a Sunday when Tom de Terre takes over the kitchen. Wednesday night is Pie Club night – and as Tom won Gold at the British Pie Awards – you’d be daft to miss it.
Sundays, he’s back again, this time serving up roast dinners with all the trimmings, gorgeous sides, and classic puds.
Weekends feature pretty big name DJs from the Manchester music scene and on Tuesdays you can try your hand at Quingo, Electrik’s very own pub-quiz/bingo hybrid with very special prizes up for grabs.
