Indian Affair
Indian Affair is a light, bright modern restaurant in the parade of little independents opposite Chorlton Bus Station.
For an Indian restaurant, the food is surprisingly light too, with pretty and delicate small plates that pack a real punch. It serves North Indian food cooked Delhi-style.
The palak chaat and the gol gappe are particularly good – Indian affair gets the balance of flavour and texture just right. It’s also a very good bet for vegetarians as over half the menu is meat free.
Main courses aren’t quite as exciting as the small plates though they are still very good with the biriyanis and the daal makhani always impressing.
Something that sets Indian Affair apart from most neighbourhood restaurants is the rather fun selection of cocktails with Jaffa Cake Negronis and Pineapple Margaritas.
You’ll also find a seriously good selection of gin with many interesting bottles from around India. The floral, spicy and fruity notes make for a cracking G&T.
