Low Slow and Dough
Nestled in Oxton Village in the Wirral, Low Slow and Dough is a Tex-Mex eatery with brunch specials, loaded nachos, tacos and more. Friendly staff, a welcoming atmosphere and a recent refurbishment make it a sound choice if you’re visiting Oxton on a day trip. (Though we think it’s worth the journey in its own right).
The smash burgers definitely fill a hole with double patties as standard and fillings like mac n’ cheese croquettes or cowboy candy. There’s also crunchy nachos with toppings including pulled pork, nacho cheese and pink onions, or spicy buffalo tenders with a blue cheese dressing. Plus you’ll find plenty of cocktails with the bartending maestros shaking and mixing until late.
Look out for their Beat the Clock deal where the time you arrive is the price you pay for your meal. Get there at 13.00, you pay £13, for example. Not bad considering it includes a drink, burger and dessert.
