Seel & Slater occupies the former Wreckfish site but it has a confident style all of its own. Fans of the popular Liverpool bistro won’t be disappointed with the arrival of Seel & Slater. It’s the city’s new destination dining spot and half of the North West are going to be trying to get a table. 

It’s a prominent address that needs a serious contender to live up to its location. Seel & Slater more than delivers.

The raised ground floor is Seel, a Manhattan-inspired restaurant, bar and grill with a classy Italian-American menu. Confidentials loves its sharp fitout with ox-blood leather, deep red tiles and exposed brickwork.

The menu of Upper East Side grill house masterpieces and the retro glamour of hearty sharing pasta plates is a clear winner. From chicken saltimbocca or pork tomahawk to lobster lasagna, this is food with serious appeal. Seel isn’t afraid of classic cooking. With quality ingredients and a real generosity of spirit, you can already tell it’s going to be a hit.

Even breakfast is a masterclass in lazy luxury with NYC pastrami, egg and cheese rolls, top notch hash browns and a stunner of a morning tiramisu. 

As for the epic Sunday roasts. it’s a next-level weekend treat.

Underneath, is Slater, a cocktail bar that’s just made for after-dark. Cosy yet sophisticated, Liverpool’s new late-night destination opens in late November.
