Pattersons
Fried chicken in a bar setting with a big emphasis on music, beer and cocktails – Liverpool independent Pattersons has hit on a winning formula here.
Their menu is grounded in the Southern States of the US: chicken is soaked in buttermilk before being coated in their own ‘secret’ spice rub and fried. It’s served in red plastic baskets on greaseproof paper, diner-style, with skinny french fries and pots of gravy for dunking. Sides including charred corn, slaw and hash browns complete the picture.
Pattersons also does loaded fries, burgers, and fried cheese options for veggies. For drinks go for pun-heavy cocktails such as Post Watermelone and Captain Ting-Wray or choose from 12 beers on draught.
It’s feel-good, casual eats and drinks matched by the lively atmosphere and graffiti-styled interior. There’s a function room for parties and a terrace too.
