The Deaf Institute
The Deaf Institute is a gig venue, club and bar in the middle of the student area of Manchester city centre. Known for hosting underground and up-and-coming artists, it’s a popular venue for alternative bands to play and for fans to discover their new favourite artists.
The eclectic wallpaper and chintzy decor makes The Deaf Institute feel more like a house party at your nan’s than what your average music venue might look like. That’s not to say it isn’t incredibly cool, though.
As well as gigs, there’s regular club nights. You’ll hear anything from indie to pop-punk to the Barbie movie soundtrack and everything in between.
