The Kitchen
A family-run restaurant specialising in Greek street food, The Kitchen is a Westhaughton favourite thanks to the enthusiasm of the husband and wife team who run the place.
Hailing from Greek’s second city, Thessaloniki, they’ve interpreted its melting pot cuisine into colour-pop dishes characterised by lots of fresh veg, salads, fresh fish, and grilled meats. Go for dishes such as aubergine fritter with feta and honey, or celeriac shawarma with tahini, fries and pickles, or seabass with ratatouille sauce.
The menu varies according to what produce they’ve got in – lobsters and fresh Cornish crab sometimes make an appearance. They favour the organic, ethcially sourced suppliers where possible.
As well as the food, there’s a busy events schedule ranging from meditation evenings to musical-themed bottomless brunches.
