Manchester Pride is going to look a little different this time around. Shortly after the 2025 festival ended, its organisers went into liquidation, leaving some suppliers and performers unpaid. For a while, its future was in doubt.
Then early in 2026, a new festival was announced: Manchester Village Pride. Organised by the local community with the support of organisations including Manchester City Council, it aims to take the festival back to its roots. It’ll be a smaller, stripped back event, but with all the key elements that make Manchester’s Pride celebrations so special, such as the parade, the Village party and the vigil in Sackville Gardens.
Acts performing across the three stages will include Cascada, Kate Nash, Nadine Coyle, DJ Sammy, Gareth Gates, Danny Beard, Tayce, Michael Marouli, Caity Baser, Adam Rickitt, Dr Ranj and many more. There’ll also be a free community and family day on Bank Holiday Monday.
