Leven Hotel Manchester
Based conveniently near Manchester’s gay village in an early 20th-century warehouse, Leven opened in October 2021 as one of its newest, and coolest design hotels.
The 42-room hotel says “stay for a day, stay for a year” as it offers a flexible space with a day-to-night lounge for co-working and socialising, a lobby with a stylish bar and plenty of velvet sofas for people-watching.
At Leven expect the Manchester must-haves – high ceilings, exposed brickwork and timber floors. In the lobby, a brass-topped bar serves a crafted collection of forward-thinking cocktail recipes from an accoladed team. Signature sips include Blue Moon – with Glenfiddich 12 Scotch and blueberry compote, and the Boulvardier – described at Negroni’s mature cousin.
Each room at the hotel is completely unique with oak parquet or timber plank floors and bespoke furniture – some even feature stand-alone baths. Choose canal or city views from your windows and enjoy complimentary socks and smoothies to keep you cosy and cared for during your stay.
Also available, is a bespoke in-room food and drink service as well as a fridge filled with treats and snacks prior to arrival. Oh, and a private chef is bookable on request, obviously.
