Re:treat at The Lowry Hotel
The Lowry Hotel’s spa reopened in November 2022 after a full refurbishment and rebrand. Now known as Re:treat at The Lowry Hotel, it has said goodbye to the clinical, minimalist feel of the old spa, and welcomed in a much warmer, earthier alternative.
With this new, on-trend look comes some of the most on-trend treatments of the day: a cryotherapy chamber, a floatation or sensory deprivation tank, and a Somadome meditation pod. It’s the only place in the UK where you can do all three in one place, and it makes an intriguing change to the standard spa thermal facilities of sauna and steam room.
If you’re not ready for the ice pod just yet, you can opt for a more traditional, pampering spa day. Treatments come courtesy of three contrasting brands: established spa favourite Elemis, scientifically-innovative Grown Alchemist, and natural, British-made GAIA. There’s also a range of beauty services including OPI nails, waxing and MII brows.
Inline with the ‘wellness’ approach of the new spa, there’s a yoga studio and a gym, which both offer memberships and one-off sessions to non-hotel guests.
