53two

Restaurant - Bar

With a gentle gradient and a lowered bar, 53two is one of Manchester’s most inclusive and accessible venues. Half bar, half performance area, this unique space under Manchester’s Grade II* listed railway arches is the perfect stop for a drink and a snack before hitting the town or the local theatres – including the one in-house.

The large bar serves gluten-free, vegan beers from Brightside brewery, with light and non-alcohol beers also available. 53Two’s food offering is small but mighty serving award-winning HM Pasties Thursday to Sunday in cosy arches that boast comfy leather sofas.

Born from a passion to provide theatre for everyone, 53Two is also a registered charity and events space that prides itself on being ideal for anything ‘from weddings to wrestling’. A modular, removable table system keeps the space accessible for all. Behind the bar you’ll find ear defenders for neuro-divergent visitors and all bar staff are BSL trained by Manchester Deaf Centre. Even the studio area which houses small productions, screenings and workshops is accessed via a shallow ramp.
