PINS Social Club
GlobalAs the name suggests, PINS Social Club is more than just a bar – and it’s more than just a ten-pin bowling alley too, with pool, table tennis, shuffleboard and karaoke to keep you entertained, along with bites and burgers plus plenty of pizza courtesy Rocco’s Deli & Diner.
It’s also something of a behemoth, with three floors of fun, from the street-level bar with its bookable booths and live music to the rooftop terrace complete with barbecue, via the games area with 12 full-size lanes and four VIP lanes in the private Spare Room. All this exertion is going to need fuelling, and there’s plenty here to step up to the plate for… You can dig into the hand-stretched, stone-baked pizzas downstairs or on the roof – 13 inches across, choose from classics like pepperoni and Hawaiian or less obvious toppings including the white base veggie wild mushroom and garlic spinach with Provola and ricotta cheeses and white truffle oil or the Veganroni, with veganarella, vegan beetroot jerky and chilli syrup. Burgers include beef, chicken and halloumi, and bites range from fries to mac’n’cheese. Sarnies (served until 5pm) include on-message grilled cheese or Reuben, and you can ask for them to come with soup of the day for dunking duties. For salads, think Caesar with various extras, or Moroccan spiced couscous with seared cauliflower. Desserts come in the form of ice cream and homemade cookie dough, which changes weekly.
In keeping with the theme, house cocktails include the Peach Pong (Giffard peach liqueur, Cranes Blood Orange, cranberry, lime) and the Little Lebowski (Absolut vanilla vodka, Expré coffee liqueur, condensed milk, espresso). The usual wines and wotnot are also available, with seven beers and ciders on draught, including PINS IPA.
