Purezza

Restaurant - Vegan

Sitting in the old Dough Kitchen spot in the Northern Quarter, Purezza is yet another pizza restaurant for Manchester – but one with the distinction of offering solely vegan pizza and a menu that has many gluten-free items.

Purezza started out in Brighton before opening up in Bristol, Camden, and now here. They’ve won various awards for their vegan pizzas along the way including “best vegan restaurant of 2020’.

Purezza pizzas are made on sour dough with a choice of wholegrain or freedom (gluten-free) bases. All the toppings are vegan, even the cheese. In fact, they spent years creating a vegan mozzarella that melts and tastes like the real thing. They also do a tempting line in vegan desserts including an indulgent salted caramel brownie and New York cheesecake.

Children under ten get a free mini pizza when visiting with a paying adult. As you’d expect, it’s all ethically run with an emphasis on local sourcing and refurbished materials. Purezza is winning all the (vegan) brownie points at the moment.
