Bottega
With its floor-to-ceiling views over Exchange Square and chic Selfridges setting, Bottega is a stylish spot for cocktails, lunch or dinner.
Duck-egg blue leather seating and a creamy marble bar set the sophisticated tone, while the flood of daylight brings a sense of calm and serenity. Start with an aperitif such as their white peach and prosecco bellini, or go straight to their cicchetti menu of medium-sized plates and Italian street food.
As you’d expect from a San Carlo Group restaurant, the pasta and pizza dishes are a cut above with dough made fresh on the premises, and imported Italian ingredients including burrata, buffalo and fior di latte mozzarella, Sicilian prawns and Calabrian ‘nduja spicy sausage.
The seafood menu offers lots of lighter, healthy options. We love their fillet of sea bass served with sautéed clams and fresh parsley. Steak-lovers will find plenty to please them too.
All the desserts, cakes and gelato are homemade (and are worth a mid-shop stop-off in their own right). For drinks, you’ve got a fantastic wine list to explore, or refresh with a shot of rich, Italian espresso.
